Good Morning Program
The good morning program is an elderly shut-in call service.
It is a joint effort by the Belknap County Sheriff dispatch as well as the local Alton Police officers.
Those elderly, or the family of elderly who feel that some added peace of mind could be had by having a daily check-in with the local officers.
The program works on a self initiated call in, where the elder would have the responsibility of contacting the dispatch center every day by 1000am.
If after that time, all persons listed with dispatch have not checked in, they would then send an officer out to check in on the elder and check on their welfare.
This is to assist in the locating of those that may be immobilized by a freak incident, or illness, thus expediting the process of emergency care.
