The Alton Police Dept has received a supply of cable-style safety locks, which
were provided through a grant to the Project ChildSafe program. The locks are
free of charge and can be picked up during our regular business hours.
Along with the safety lock, you will receive a "Project ChildSafe" booklet which
is full of safety tips and informational resources. The booklet also provides
information on how to attach the locking devices to your firearms.
Please feel free to contact your local Police Dept for further information, or if you
have any questions on firearms safety.
REMEMBER: A firearms owner, it is your responsibility to know how to safely
handle and securely store your firearms.
