“Parks & Recreation Administrative Assistant”
The Town of Alton is seeking applications for the full-time position of Parks & Recreation Administrative Assistant.
The Parks & Recreation Department is located at 328 Main Street. The position is full-time with a work schedule of Monday – Friday, eight hours per day. The Administrative Assistant reports to the Parks & Recreation Director.
Responsibilities include working in the Parks and Recreation and Cemetery Department office’s, and providing assistance to the Parks and Recreation Director: office work; brochure design and layout; training and supervision of Lifeguards; assistance at Recreation programs; program planning and logistics; organization of Cemetery records; and customer service. Works with the general public.
Requirements include computer hardware and software skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software preferable. Office experience. Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform all functions of the position.
