Notice is hereby given that the ALTON PLANNING BOARD will hold PUBLIC HEARINGS on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, starting at 6:00 p.m. in the ALTON TOWN HALL, ALTON, NH to consider proposed and petitioned amendments to the Zoning Ordinance, as follows:
PUBLIC HEARING AT 6:00 P.M. ON A PETITION TO AMEND THE ALTON ZONING ORDINANCE:
A petition signed by 25 registered voters in the Town of Alton has been submitted and accepted by the Board of Selectmen as being in correct warrant article form. This petition proposes an amendment to the Alton Zoning Ordinance, Article 400 Zoning District Regulations, Section 410 Lakeshore Residential District, Section 412, Restrictions Governing Use.
PUBLIC HEARING IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING ON CHANGES AND ADDITIONS TO THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE BY THE PLANNING BOARD RESULTING FROM THE FIRST PUBLIC HEARING ON DECEMBER 18, 2018:
Proposed Amendment #3. To amend the applicability of the Stormwater Management regulations to apply to building construction or lot development on land of any size where the slope of land is greater than 15%, or less than 15% within 20' of the top of a 15% slope.
Proposed Amendment #4. To allow the new Product Storage Area use in the Residential Commercial District by right.
Copies of the full text of the 2019 Amendments to the Alton Zoning Ordinance proposed by the Planning Board are available free of charge from the Planning Department during regular business hours, are posted at the Post Office and Town Hall for viewing purposes only, and can be found on the Town of Alton website www.alton.nh.gov.
If inclement weather necessitates cancelling the public hearings, then the public hearings will be continued to a "snow date" of Wednesday, January 16, 2018, starting at 6:00 P.M. in the ALTON TOWN HALL, ALTON, NH. A notice shall be posted on the front door of Town Hall announcing the meeting cancellation on January 15th and the continued meeting date of January 16th.
