PUBLIC NOTICE

On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, the Alton Board of Selectmen adopted Regulations and an Application for a Short-Term Rental Permit.

The deadline for property owners to apply for a permit with the Building Department that host existing Short-Term Rentals is Sunday, December 31, 2023. As of January 1, 2024, all property owners that want to host Short-Term Rentals shall be permitted. Permits and the Regulations are available in the Building Department and on the Town's website @ www.alton.nh.gov.

Please be advised that the owner of any unpermitted Short-Term Rental, or a Short-Term Rental that fails to comply with the Regulations adopted by the Alton Board of Selectmen, will be fined as stipulated in said Regulations starting Monday, January 1, 2024.
