On behalf of the Alton Police Department, I would like to welcome you to our webpage. Personally, I take great pride in leading what I consider to be one of the finest law enforcement organizations in New Hampshire, and I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our department.

The mission of the Alton Police Department is to enhance the quality of life for all citizens and visitors of Alton by reducing the incidence and fear of crime, thereby increasing the genuine safety and peace of all within our community. Through our unparalleled commitment to service, professionalism, and excellence, we seek to engage a variety of strategies to achieve our goal for maintaining a high quality of life. These strategies include partnering and collaborating with community members to identify and creatively solve problems, providing education and enforcement initiatives to gain voluntary compliance with the law, and thoroughly investigating criminal acts to hold suspects accountable and to provide relief for victims of crime.

Our success at fulfilling our mission is attributable to our remarkably dedicated officers and staff. The men and women of the Alton Police Department are ardently faithful to providing fair, competent, and courteous law enforcement services to all members of the community.
