NOTICE: Temporary Suspension of Online Tax Payment Service 5/27/2026 – 6/10/2026

The Town of Alton’s online tax payment service will be unavailable from May 27, 2026, through June 10, 2026, for all taxpayers. This temporary suspension is necessary due to the pending lien execution for unpaid 2025 property taxes, which is scheduled to take place on June 10, 2026, at 12:00 noon.

Payments for unpaid 2025 property taxes made between May 27 and June 10, 2026, must be made in person or received in the office no later than 12:00 noon on June 10, 2026.

Accepted forms of payment: cash, bank check, or money order.

** Personal checks and credit cards will not be accepted after May 27th **

Online payments will resume by 6:00 p.m. on June 10, 2026.
